A rethink

I have been known to state that 'Life Is All Cobblers'. I am thinking of changing my philosophy to 'Life Is Not All Cobblers'. At least I bloody well hope it is not.

Last time I saw us win - April.

Number of points at home from a possible 15 - 1.

Number of goals we should have got today - 6 ( I kid you not).

Number of goals we did actually get - 1 - and that was scored after they had got 3.

Number of penalties we should have had today - 2.

Number of penalties they were given today in spite of not one single supporter or player for Tranmere appealing for it - 1.

Number of penalties given against us since we were last awarded one - 10.

Chances of us beating Millwall next week - nil.

Am off to slit my wrists. I may be gone sometime.

Not that I take these things to heart you understand.

I would kick my cat but if I am anything like our 'strikers' I would only miss.

Oh dear! Cobblers Nobbled! But at least you have your distant memories to cling to. You know "winning isn't everything" as the OFSTED inspectors say when they drive off to pile more dough into their bulging pension funds!

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
But...
"Chances of us beating Millwall next week - nil."
This post was obviously written with tongue firmly in cheek.
I'll see you at 'Arry's Bar for pie n mash at 2.30 next Saturday my love.

Oh, and by the way, I see you have a new commentor - you know, one of those people who have started up a blog for the sole purpose of gaining some publicity in the hope that a book deal will come out of it. A quick backtrack on your posts will reveal all for everyone! No, YP, I don't mean you!

shouldnt you be used to the cobblers being a bit below par? (apart from when you beat the mighty Gills that is!)

Still, we are talking League One here rather than the Armitage Shanks Premier Division...

..just sayin'.... ;-)

Don't worry things will pick up.

I often get like that and then we go and beat Spurs with 10 men and Liverpool 3 - 0.

Joyous.

Mind you a draw with Wigan was a bit of a return to earth.

Aren't Millwall struggling a bit?

Now is not the right time then to reiterate how grateful we are for Mr Calderwood...?!!!!

YP, I will remember that too - how does it go again? "Winning is not everything". "Winning is not everything." (Repeat until brain washed into believing it)

Reidski, we will NEVER beat you on Saturday.

Cookie, yes. But it doesn't somehow make it any easier.

Greavsie, you make me blush due to my extreme insensitivity - come on you AFC Wimbledon.

Spunky - god I hope they do.

Lisa - probably not!!!!!
