Accidental and avoidable errors.

At least, I thought when I put my mobile phone in a glass of water on Thursday night*; I would be hard pressed to do anything else quite so comparably stupid for a week or two. But then I heard myself agreeing to take my 12 year old daughter shopping in Milton Keynes. WHAT a fun five hour slog round the shops I have just had.

* I can now just about laugh about this incident having been seriously upset about it at the time. I would like to clarify that I did this accidentally, although the insurance man has had of necessity to have been told my phone is ruined because water got spilt. I didn’t think I would be covered for stupidity on the scale of actually placing my phone in a glass of water, even if I didn’t know the water was there as I put my phone down on the floor next to my bed.

"I didn’t know the water was there as I put my phone down on the floor next to my bed" - so the question is, who did put it there???

Yes, obviously it was me.......so that makes me even more stupid.

Jane, that is incredibly silly but funny!!

Something for you to look at from todays Herald (Plymouth's local paper). This was incredibly moving and reduced me to tears. They had some lovely pictures of Declan too and his friends from the school.

The water would have come in handy to douse Reidski's ardour should he ever be granted access to this domain of dreams by Slumberland.

Ah well, BB dropped his phone in a pot of paint on Thursday. So you are in good company here... I'd like to emphasise that he got a new phone by relying on an upgrade that *I* was due.

The most common ways of destroying phones in our sales force are:

Males, dropping them in the toilet bowl, many say from their shirt pockets (I haven't given it any further thought, I suggest you don't either)

Females, Either left on the roof of the car, fell off and run over, or put in carrier bag with something bought for lunch and lunch leaked!

I have luckily escped the delights of Milton Keynes today. Mavis has kept me updated with numerous texts about the sandals she is (or maybe) buying.

A good advert for bedside tables.

But didn't 'Reidski's' teeth get in the way?

Yp, Oh no, he definitely couldn't gte into bed with me - I can't be doing with the guilt of causing him brain damage (see post below).

BW, I'm so glad it isn't just me!

Growing Up, the little 'sweetie'!

WBS, I didn't realise such gross carelessness was so common! And well done on escapin the delights of M.K. Did she buy the sandals? I got a pair for £8 reduced from £30 so was v. happy.

Joe, absolutely...but there isn't room for one next to my bed...sad but true!

David, if Reidski had beenw ith me atthe time, I wouldn't have been using my mobile phone to say goodnight to him. In fact, I have just realised the whole episode is all his fault!
