Throw away the key

I'm only guessing here but the poor child is probably Baby Peter's sister.

And don't let the so called mother out either - ever.

The sheer horror of some people's lives, and the vileness of some people's behaviour, is impossible to comprehend.

How could any man do such a thing to a little girl? What made him the monster he clearly is? Was it hereditary or alcohol/drug- fuelled? I just cannot understand. Such people might as well be aliens from the Planet Evil.

I think this may also be one of the "special" occasions.

What I can never understand is how the mother can stand by and watch their children being severely abused by their boyfriends. If anything like that had happened in our house, the b*st*rd would be out of the door so fast he wouldn't know what had hit him.

Sincere commiserations upon your team's relegation. It is amazing that they'd hovered above the relegation zone all season and they went down on the last day. You won't think this now but next season it will be great to be one of the top teams in League Two. Sorry to remind you. Don't cry.

I have to echo all that's been said here. Incomprehensible.

Sorry about NT as well. I know what relegation is like. Stiff upper lip and all that...

Hi Daphne - thanks for visiting. Now I read the piece of scum intends to appeal. Cases like this bring out the deeply illiberal hidden parts of me. Suggest the prison officers 'accidentally' let the other prisoners loose on him before he can put in any appeal. That should make the problem go away.

YP- the frightening thing is that there are many more of his kind out here living amongst us - and with access to children.

Karen - definitely.

Jay - I've met women like that. They go from one guy who abuses their kids to another who does exactly the same. And judges tell us that we have to give that woman chance after chance to prove she can protect her children. Well she can't and she won't - not ever.

YP- I hate football.

Steve - following a weeeknd long sulk I think I can now attempt that stiff upper lip. AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Just as an aside to this, but did you read the Guardian Society front cover piece this week on mothers who contribute to the abuse of their children?

Let me make it clear: I do think that there has not been nearly enough consideration to removing children from very dangerous family situations but the article raises uncomfortable issues about the urge to condemn - not as I feel that there must be punishment but it does highlight problematic decisions.
